Is it better to stay in midtown or times square?

If it's your first time in New York (or you're on a short trip), stay in Midtown. It's as central as possible, you can walk to Central Park, and it's full of the unbridled energy that makes New York special. We'll say it gets a little overwhelming near Times Square. For most visitors (whether for the first time or returning), staying in New York City usually means staying in Manhattan.

And the best area to stay in Manhattan for most tourists is somewhere near Times Square. The largest neighborhood surrounding Times Square is called the Theater District. And the Theater District is located in the center of Manhattan. Practically any hotel in Midtown will place you within walking distance of Times Square, all the Broadway plays and shows, Rockefeller Center, the Empire State Building, the shops on Fifth Avenue and the Museum of Modern Art.

The Edison Times Square is one of the most recommended hotels on TripAdvisor and a good place to stay for first-time visitors to New York. They're all great places to stay in New York, but in particular, couples, families with older children, and individuals traveling alone will enjoy staying in these areas of SoHo, New York. Well, the Theater District, where most of Broadway's theaters are located, actually overlaps with parts of Times Square, so it's in a prime location for seeing a show. The Upper East Side of Central Park is the best place to stay in New York City for families and enjoy a more luxurious experience.

Both are great places to stay in New York City if you like the sound of a morning stroll through Central Park with a coffee every morning. We recommend booking a hotel in Times Square if you want to be in the center of the action with easy access to most of Manhattan. SoHo is always bustling with tourists and locals, the restaurants are packed and there's no chance of getting a table unless you book in advance, and there's a natural environment of well-being. Riu Plaza New York Times Square: a popular place to stay near Times Square, close to 50 St.

When visiting New York City with young children, choosing where to stay focuses less on attractions and more on safety. Of course, you can choose to stay in any of those areas, but you would spend much more time traveling by subway. In fact, some of our favorite hotels and the hotels that most people book are in the Midtown South area of New York.
